Campus and prospectus for future expansion
IITH has a sprawling campus of 576 acres abutting the Hyderabad-Pune/Mumbai national highway. Currently IITH has three academic buildings, hostel blocks, dining facility and sports facilities. The next phase of construction will add 9 more academic buildings, sports and cultural complex, knowledge center, technology incubation park, research center complex,  guest house, convention village, administrative building, lecture hall complex, health center and campus school.
Spicmacay IIT Hyderabad Sub-chapter
Values and culture
India has a rich tradition of various art forms. The IITH Spicmacay sub-chapter is an effort to keep the culture alive by educating its community by organising performance by well known artists. Recently Spicmacay-IITH hosted the legendary flautist Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia (on 18th January) at its campus in Kandi

Student Amenities
IITH has a well equipped library with more than 20,000 books and 10,000 periodicals. The books include reference books as well as the ones for regular circulation. IITH also has an internal repository of scholarly publications made by its faculty and students. 
IITH as a common dining facility for its students, staff, and faculty. Both north Indian and south Indian varieties are served in the dining hall. The quality of food is regularly inspected by the student representatives and the wardens. 
Transport Facilities
IITH has limited transport facility for its students, staff and faculty. There are regular services from the nearest railway station Lingampally to the campus and back. The schedule of services can be found here. 
Shiru Cafe
Shiru Cafe @ the IITH campus is the first one outside Japan. The Cafe is manned by Japanese student interns and offers free beverages to IITH fraternity. 
IITH has more than 100 research labs. Every year IITH is in the pursuit of adding more and more state of the art equipments in these labs for performing advanced research that cuts across the boundaries of various engineering and science departments and there by promoting interdisciplinary research.
Hostel & Accommodation
IITH offers very comfortable accommodation for its students. To beat the heat during summer the hostels are designed with radiant cooling technique. Every student is provided a single room with basic infrastructure such as bed, cupboard and a study table.

  1. Get on ORR in Gandiguda from Airport Approach Road
  2. Follow ORR to Muthangi, Hyderabad. Take exit 3 from ORR
  3. Drive to Mumbai Hwy/NH 9 for 15 km, you will find the sign board of IITH on Right side
  1. Head north towards Mumbai Hwy/NH 65
  2. Get Via Kukatpally, Patancheruvu
  3. Follow ORR to Mumbai Hwy/NH 65
  4. Merge onto ORR
  5. Take exit towards Mumbai/NH65
  6. Drive to Mumbai Hwy/NH 65 for 15 km, you will find the sign board of IITH on Right side
  1. Take SD Road to Mahatma Gandhi Rd/NH 7 in Hyderabad
  2. Follow NH 7 to Old Airport Rd in New Bowenpally
  3. Continue on Old Airport Rd to Bhavani Nagar
  4. Drive to Mumbai Hwy/NH 65
  5. Continue to drive on Mumbai Hwy/NH 65, you will find the sign board of IITH on Right side
  1. Take Gachibowli – Miyapur Rd to NH65 in Hafeezpet 19 min (6.9 km)
  2. Drive to NH65 in Khandi
